Logo_Microsoft_OneNote_2013Microsoft just earlier this week, confirmed that OneNote 2013 is now available for free. Not just is it free for Windows users, it is in fact available and free for every major desktop and mobile platform, including Mac. You can download your own free copy from onenote.com It is a totally ad-free version and it is not just a trial version it is the real stuff you can use as long as you like. OneNote was first released back in 2003 and it has just been improved over and over again for the last 10 years. Now that Microsoft OneNote is free for all it might be a good alternative for Evernote that you might be familiar with already.

HelpSometime as a blogger, you find it hard to come up with new ideas for blog posts. I guess most bloggers feel like that from time to time, I know for sure that I do. That is why I think it is time for me to ask you, my dear readers. What kind of blog posts you prefer reading here on my blog and what kind of posts I should be focusing on in the future. After all I prefer to write stuff that someone actually enjoy reading. That is why I would like to ask you what you would like me to focus on in the future. I of cause do have some ideas myself, but I thought it would be interesting to hear what you think. Just remember this blog is first of all a Technology blog, so I am not going to write posts about pets or diet tips. There are many other blogs covering those topics out there a lot better than I can ever do. I have been working professional with IT systems in more than 10 years and that is where I got my expertise. I have been working with Windows clients/servers, network, websites, Unix/Linux and a lot of other stuff over the years. Please don’t ask me to write about Apple devices, I have no knowledge of that at all 😉

How to find old versions of your Favorite Apps

Old_Apps_Logo

Sometimes you might need an older version of an App, a tool or a plugin. There can be many reasons why you don’t want to use the newest version, but it can be very difficult to find older version of software even if it is freeware. The reason for that is that most companies want people to use their newest version that often is the most secure version where most bugs are fixed. It is also easier for support matters if all users are using the newest version. It makes great sense to use the newest version of all software you use, but there is times where an older version can be the perfect choice. That is where the website oldapps.com comes to the rescue 🙂 It is completely free and you don’t have to signup or login, you just go ahead and download what you need.
