OnePlus 3T Smartphone Review

I recently bought myself a new smartphone to replace my old Nexus 5 Smartphone. After searching for a good alternative, I chose the OnePlus 3T Smartphone. In this post I will give you my very own review of the OnePlus 3T smartphone, based on my own experiences with this phone. The OnePlus 3T is the follower of the OnePlus 3 smartphone.

First impression of the OnePlus 3T

I have now used this phone for a couple of weeks now and are overall very happy with this phone. First of all, it has a fantastic screen and a good battery that match the big 5.5-inch display. It is a big upgrade from my old Google Nexus 5 Smartphone. It is fast phone and with is quad-core CPU and 6 GB RAM it always delivers great performance for whatever task I use it for. The camera takes great pictures and it is very nice that the front facing camera (selfie) also is 16 MP and not just some low-resolution camera. For some people that is the most used camera.

Super Fast charging (Dash Charge)

The OnePlus 3T has Dash charge support. That means that if you use the original charger included with the phone, you can charge the phone from 0-60% in just 30 minutes flat. That is a great feature of a phone with a 3400 mAh battery. This is one of many great thing I have noticed about this phone.

Let us see the phone in action

One of my favorite tech guys, Marques Brownlee, has uploaded this great review on the OnePlus 3T:

Pros and cons of the OnePlus 3T

Pros:

  • Fantastic screen (resolution, colors and brightness)
  • Good decent battery that fits the phone power usage (3400 mAh)
  • All the security you need (Fingerprint, smart Lock, Secure place)
  • Fast charging (Dash Charge)

Cons:

  • The back of the phone is very smooth. I have dropped the phone a couple of times because of that.
  • It is a bit big to have in the pocket (5.5 inch), but I knew that and I have gotten used to it.

10 Thoughts to “OnePlus 3T Smartphone Review”

  1. The phone is baccked powerful combination of SnapdragonTM 821 (2.35 GHz) quad core processor, Adreno 530 GPU, 6GB LPDDR4 RAM and 128 GB internal memory. Surf the Internet, play games watch movies and do many other activities, it handles all the apps easily without any visible performance lag. I played games like Asphalt 8, Fifa, NFS, and Mortal kombat simultaneously, expecting to see a little graphics lag. But the phone is quite powerful, even while keeping rest of the app running at the back, I was able to play and switch between them quickly and easily.

    1. It is for sure an awesome phone. I am very happy with my phone. Have you seen the OnePlus 5 is out now?

  3. OnePlus at my country not so popular, but I know it comparable with huawei smartphone

    1. Huawei is for sure also creating great smartphones at fair price.

  4. Hi, I can relate all the pros you have mentioned. But, I won’t be saying the smooth back and 5.5″ size any sort of cons. The smooth back looks great and the size is fit for watching videos or playing games. The only cons I have experienced is the little heating issue.

    1. Hi Rocky
The smooth back sure looks great and the screen is fantastic. All I am saying is that the phone is very smooth and slippery. I have droppe my 3T a couple of times, but I do still love this smartphone.

  5. OnePlus has also been rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat to its OnePlus 3T phones over the past few weeks.

  6. This sounds good. I’ve been wondering what phone I should give to my daughter now that she’s a teenager. I want the phone to be affordable but still powerful enough to handle some of resource-hungry applications. Giving her an iPhone is too much for me. Some friends have suggested Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, but I think I’ll give this OnePlus 3T a shot. Thanks for the review!
