Review of Sony NWZ-E474 8 GB Walkman
I just got myself a new MP3 player, Sony NWZ-E474 8 GB Walkman, for Christmas and will of cause share a little review with you
I mostly use this MP3 player when I am working out in the local gym. I always prefer to have some good music on my ears when I am training. This little player are replacing my old Samsung YP-Z5F that had big issues with the battery after years of use. My new Sony MP3 Walkman is small and weight only 51g. It has 8 GB of storage, which is more than enough for me and it also has built-in FM Radio. Unfortunately the FM signal is pretty bad where I live making it almost impossible to use this listening to radio.
Software for PC – Media Go
Inside the MP3 Players storage there is pre-loaded a setup.exe file (143 MB) that includes the software called “Media Go”, used for this Player. You don’t need to install it if you don’t want to, but I took a look at it anyway to see what it was able to help me with. One of the thing you need to install “Media Go” for is creating and editing Playlist. You are not able just to add a normal .m3u playlist file to the device. I must admit that I don’t think Media Go is a user-friendly application and I don’t think that I will be using it much in the future.

Overall thoughts of this device
Overall, I am very pleased with my new MP3 player. It does everything that I need and it is very simple to use. The software to manage the music from a PC is not my favorite, but I normally don’t use that kind of software anyway so I can live with that. I wish that the Radio reception was better, but that is more an issue with the device, but more an issue with the area where I live. I have other devices that has issues receiving radio broadcast.
