5 Must-have Android Apps for your Smartphone

Android Market

Android Market

One of the best things about having an Android Smartphone is the more than 400.000 apps available at the Android Market. It will always be personally what apps people like the best, but here is 5 of my favorite apps that I think you should check out.

My top 5 favorite Apps for Android

1. WiFi Analyzer
With this little app you can Analyze the wireless network in your area and check out what channels they are using with your phone. This is optimal if you need to figure out what channel you should give your wireless router or access point.

2. DropBox
Well I guess you all know Dropbox. It is one of my favorite apps for sure. I install it on all my devices (workstation, laptop and phones).

3. Handy Scanner
Use your smartphone to scan documents using the build-in camera. When the document is scanned you can upload it to Dropbox to make it available from anywhere or send it via e-mail.

4. Advanced Task Killer
Kill all active tasks on the phone with one click. Over time you might start a lot of apps that will stay in the background and make your phone use more power and slow down. With this little app you can close them all with one click.

5. Barcode Scanner
Scan barcodes and QR codes with this little app. This is a must have app making you able to scan both Barcodes and QR codes wherever you go.

Now I have told you about my favorite apps for Andriod phones at the moment. Now it is your turn to tell me about your own favorite apps.

QR code is a great invention people made. I’m making mobile apps currently and find it really cool to implement QR codes into them. I’m amazed at QR code coupons http://www.Snappii.com app builder allows to create. They are really helpful for small businesses.

  3. Great list, Thomas. I agree with them all. I would add SwiftKey X which is an intelligent keyboard that learns your writing style and predicts what you type.

I would also add Zedge that is filled with free wallpaper and ringtones.

    1. Thank you Carolyn. I will have to check out those two too. Always fun to hear what other people have installed on their phones.

Hey Thomas, I know you’re a fan of dropbox (as am I) and this post was written a few months ago but I think Google Drive is something worth checking out for Android users. They give you 5GB free if I’m not mistaken, and there’s some nice functionality and integration features. You’re probably already aware, but just thought I’d give a heads up πŸ™‚

    1. Hi Brian
