Why I bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 Smartphone

galaxy_S3_1I just recently bought a new Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone. Some of you might think that it was a stupid choice, because Samsung has already¬†released the Samsung Galaxy S4 with better specifications and new features. Most people always want the newest technology, just because it is new and not always because it is better or they actually need it. In most cases the new phones are very expensive because the companies know that a lot of people just want to have the new model no matter what it cost. The thing is that you can make a very¬†good deal if you go for last year’s model instead of the newest model from Samsung, Apple, Nokia, HTC¬†or whatever model you prefer.

So why did I chose the older S3 over the new hi-tech S4?

For one thing I got a got price that was more than half the price of the new Samsung Galaxy S4. I also looked at the new features of the S4 to figure out if I needed them. A 5-inch full HD screen in 1920 x 1080 is amazing for a smartphone, but 4.8-inch 1280 x 720 HD screen is pretty good too, and a lot better than my previous smartphone. The Galaxy S4 comes with an amazing 13 MP rear camera, but again the S3 has a pretty great 8 MP rear camera that is still pretty amazing compared to other smartphones. For instance has the iPhone 4 only a 5 MP camera. The S4 does also have a better battery, at least in theory. The S4 has a 2,600 mAh battery compared with the 2,100 mAh for the S3, but the thing is that the S4 also has a bigger screen and a faster processor that needs more power. All in all I ended up choosing to buy the cheaper Samsung Galaxy S3 and so far I love it :-)
